The Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Department is always seeking new volunteers to join
our department!
The Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Department is 100% volunteer department, and our community depends on our well-trained volunteers to fulfill the duty of providing fire suppression, emergency medical response, hazardous materials response, and fire prevention services as well as community engagement and support.
Bridgeville community members or those living within 5-miles of our fire department are encouraged to apply.

If you have an interest in volunteering with us but not in a firefighting capacity, there are other roles that are essential to the success of our fire department.

Our members meet every Thursday evening at 7 PM for trainings and meetings; please do not hesitate to stop down to say hello, meet the members, and learn more about volunteering with us!
On Monday evening's, members participate in trainings designed by fire line officers to ensure you are prepared for any situation!
All members are provided with insurance so you're protected both at the station and when answering a call!
The opportunity for growth is available to anyone! With time and experience, you can have the opportunity to continue to lead and support our community as a fire-line officer or an administrative officer.
Join us to make new friends and find your chosen family! Members often gather together for social events throughout the year and meals together at our station.
Members who live in Bridgeville and meet the minimal training, meeting, and fundraising requirements are eligible for a tax credit from the borough.
Support your community and quickly gain real fire service experience through our high call volume.
All of our gear and training is provided and paid for by the Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Department.
You will be provided with a uniform and apparel (t-shirts and a sweatshirt) to identify yourself as a volunteer member of the BVFD.
